During this paper, we report the preparation and properties of the novel chalcogenide photonic crystal fiber having a higher extinction ratio (ER). The GeCobalt doped ZnSe and ZnS crystals have been examined to ascertain their effectiveness for passive Q-switching for 700-800nm spectral assortment (Alexandrite laser).
